Position Title : Service Driver

Position Purpose :
To ensure daily task are performed on vehicles allocated and collect/deliver consignments between work and Infra depot.
Position outputs :
  • Ensure that the vehicles are roadworthy and report non-road worthy factors - do Pre and post trip inspections.
  • Ensure that train personnel is on time for train working as to form part and participate in countdown procedures
  • Ensure safe handling of a vehicle in normal an abnormal conditions (weather conditions)
  • Transport ancillary equipment as to form part and participate in countdown procedures
  • Administer basic administrative duties as to adhere to company vehicle policy (fuel consumption/petrol card)
Qualifications & Experience :
  • Grade 10
  • Be in possession of a (Code C1) driver’s licence and be competent and prepared to drive such a vehicle.
  • Be in possession of a Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
  • Visual acuity.
